On September 22, 2015, the Korea Food and Drug Safety Department intends to revise the regulations on cosmetic safety standards. The following amendments are made:

1. Revise the residual amount of xylene in the fingers and toenails (less than 0.01%).

2. Revise the following conditions for the use of sunscreen ingredients in disinfectant, preservative ingredients and cosmetics (<0.08% of cetylpyridinium chloride, benzotriazolyl methylphenol <1.0%);

3. Contains "the use of human tissue cell culture media is not allowed to exist in the cosmetics," the presence or absence of testing to ensure the quality and safety of cosmetics;

4. Explain the definition of "sample" in the analysis of cosmetics distribution.

The deadline for the review of the notification is 60 days after the date of publication of the notification and the date of ratification and entry into force.
